I hope the weather stays that warm there...I live in Ssan Diego, and my bf is from Minny so we are going there next Friday for a week for vacation. Poolside sounds very nice!

I didn't realize you were moving to Melbourne!
I noticed that you are packing and I offer the following...
bring plenty of clothes from America. Don't really plan to buy Aussie fashions straight away as they will seem very 80's to you. Clothes are WAY cheaper in America also. Oh, and bring deodorant because they one's here are different and that's just something that can't be substituted. Pack extra makeup - clinique mascara is $40. If there is anything else that you think is must have, it only costs an extra 100 dollars to transport an additional BIG bag on the airline. That's not bad.

Oh, and after reading your blog on Minnesota and public transport, I can assure you that you won't be dissapointed in Melbourne. You won't need a car here.
